Residents reported giant hailstones measuring up to 7 centimeters in certain regions. Weather authorities announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

State Emergency Services handled nearly 600 emergency reports across the state, mostly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

Weather Forecast
Damp conditions were forecast to persist along large portions of eastern Queensland this next several days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
The following day was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with continued thunderstorm potential expected across different parts of both states.

Health officials cautioned that there was an increased chance of weather-related respiratory issues across the state's northern country region, specifically given the current weather patterns.
